Daily Itinerary
Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Early-morning pick-up from your hotel or designated accommodation in Arusha. Meet your professional safari guide and begin the journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
05:30–09:00 – Drive to Ngorongoro
Travel through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive provides views of rural communities, agricultural areas and changing highland scenery.
09:00 – Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After completing the necessary entry procedures, continue towards the crater descent point. The official crater gates operate from 06:00 to 16:00, so an early departure is important for maximizing time inside the crater.

09:15 – Descend into the Crater
Descend approximately 600 metres into the crater in a 4x4 safari vehicle and begin your game drive.
09:30–12:30 – Morning Game Drive
Explore the crater floor in search of its abundant wildlife. Depending on conditions and animal movements, you may encounter lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos and other species.
Keep your eyes open for the elusive black rhinoceros, one of the most sought-after sightings in the area.
12:30–13:30 – Picnic Lunch
Stop at a designated picnic location for lunch while enjoying the spectacular surroundings of the crater.
13:30–15:30 – Afternoon Game Drive
Continue exploring the crater floor. Visit areas around Lake Magadi and the surrounding grasslands and wetlands, where you may encounter flamingos, hippos and a variety of other wildlife and bird species.
15:30–16:00 – Ascend the Crater
Begin the ascent from the crater floor and enjoy final panoramic views of the caldera.
16:00–19:30/20:00 – Return to Arusha
Depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive back to Arusha. Drop-off at your hotel or agreed location marks the end of your safari.
